Under the title “Together against cruelty! New threats and effective solutions in animal protection”, an international conference will be held in Sofia, organized by Emil Radev, MEP and Vice-Chair of the Intergroup for the Protection of Animals in the European Parliament.
The event is in response to the revelations of the trade in the death of animals and the online distribution of violent footage, and the goal is for representatives of national and European institutions, experts and civil society organizations to unite in the search for effective legislative and practical solutions.
Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Minister of Justice Georgi Georgiev and Minister of the Interior Daniel Mitov have been invited to the opening of the forum.

The European Commissioner for Health and Animal Welfare Oliver Várhelyi and the other Vice-Chair of the Intergroup for the Welfare and Conservation of Animals in the EP Thomas Waitz will also participate with video addresses.

The conference will be moderated by Yavor Gechev - a well-known animal protection activist, and Svetoslav Petrov from Animal Rescue Sofia.
