Although we have known Boris Iliev for many years as a singer, he has only now arranged ten of his own songs in his debut author's album "For You". Most of them are based on a musical idea by Boris Iliev, which he developed further with Ivan Yordanov - Cherry - the guitarist, with whom he has been working together for years and who has left his characteristic rock signature in the sound of the entire album.

Among the ten tracks there are both new titles and already well-known hits - but all of them were re-recorded especially for the album. He was looking for a line of sound and a typical style in which he likes to sing. He admits that it is really very different when you collect ten or more songs from his work and listen to them at once. Even if the songs have significant differences in mood, then both the artist himself and his audience get a different idea of the music he makes.

About the stylistic diversity in the album "For You" Boris Iliev says:

"I love pop music, rock music, and pop music, if I'm being honest - this is no secret to anyone, and jazz music too... But especially in this album we have combined pop music with a lot of rock elements, that's right. In most of my previous songs - even in the ballad "For You", after which the album itself is named, there are also Cherry's solos, which recreate a more rock-like line of the song itself. Well, yes - he is a bluesman, a rocker, a lover of this music, I am too, and I think that we complement each other quite well with my slightly softer thinking towards pop, his slightly harder approach towards rock and roll and towards metal music, which he really likes. I think that this is a really nice combination."

Right on his birthday, Boris Iliev has prepared the most special gift - on May 16, Friday, at the Swingin' Hall music club in Sofia, he will celebrate with a concert in which he will present all the songs from the album, including the pilot single "I Don't Understand". The music and arrangement are by Ivan Yordanov - Cherry and the lyrics were written by Boris Iliev himself.
