An international conference organised by BAS

Scientists from 14 countries meet to discuss the legacy of Christian missions in the Middle Ages

An international scientific conference will be held in Sofia from 21 to 24 May, the days preceding the celebration of Saints Cyril and Methodius, announced the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). The conference, titled "Christian Missions in the European Middle Ages and their Intellectual Heritage: History, Notions, Ideas" is organised by the Cyril and Methodius Scientific Centre at the BAS.

Over 60 participants representing 40 Slavic and historical scientific centres from 14 countries, including Austria, Belarus, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, the USA, Slovakia, Serbia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic, will attend this major scientific event.
