The National Assembly unanimously adopted a decision on the Republic of North Macedonia's progress in the EU accession process. In line with the 2022 European Consensus, the MPs expect Skopje to develop and present a targeted action plan for protecting the rights of minorities or communities, alongside a roadmap on the rule of law. The National Assembly strongly and unwaveringly supports all Bulgarians in the Republic of North Macedonia and insists that they are treated non-discriminately.
The National Assembly also urged EU institutions to continue working hard to guarantee the rights of Bulgarians and other communities in the RSM, including their right to preserve and develop their cultural and historical heritage, language, ancestral memory, and identity.
