National Assembly President Natalia Kiselova expressed the hope that the work of the MPs will not be jeopardized, after the Vazrazhdane leader called on the public to block the work of parliament on Wednesday, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports.

“The direction we categorically took in 2005, 20 years later, is clear,” said the parliamentary speaker in a comment on Bulgaria’s expected accession to the Eurozone. In her words, the protests are part of our everyday lives. “There may be protests but I don’t attach much importance to them,” she said in answer to a question whether there exists any danger of the protests changing this direction.

The Constitutional Court has no deadline for ruling on admissibility, Natalia Kiselova said further regarding the referendum on the euro initiated by the president.
