Roberta Metsola welcomes the assessment of Bulgaria’s readiness for the euro

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, addressed a brief message to Bulgaria in connection with the positive conclusions of the convergence report on Bulgaria's readiness to adopt the euro as of January 1, 2026: ''I welcome today’s decision paving the way for Bulgaria to join the eurozone. The euro brings prosperity and stability. This is another major step forward for the people of Bulgaria and for Europe following the country’s accession to Schengen'', Roberta Metsola wrote on social media, reported the European Parliament's press service.
