Three Bulgarian tennis players qualify for the quarterfinals of Roland Garros Junior Championships

​ Three Bulgarian tennis players have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Roland Garros Junior Championships, BTA reports.

Rositsa Dencheva defeated the 16th seed, Laima Vladson of Lithuania, 7–5, 6–4, and will face Luna Maria Sinalli (Argentina) for a spot in the semifinals.

In the boys’ competition in Paris, Ivan Ivanov and Alexander Vasilev also made it into the final eight. In the third round Ivan Ivanov defeated fifth-seeded Jagger Leach (USA) 2–6, 6–3, 6–4, while Alexander Vasilev defeated Savva Rybkin (Russia) 6–2, 7–5.

In the quarterfinals, Ivan Ivanov will face the second seed Jacopo Vasami of Italy, while Alexander Vasilev will face Ryo Tabata of Japan. Both Bulgarian players also reached the doubles quarterfinals.
