The position of the Republic of Bulgaria is clear. We have no bilateral issue with the Republic of North Macedonia. This was what Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov said in parliament and recalled that last week the National Assembly unanimously adopted a decision on Skopje's progress on the path to the EU, BGNES reported.

All issues with North Macedonia have been resolved with the 2017 Good Neighborly Agreement. The negotiating framework for Skopje's accession to the EU is based on the so-called French proposal during the French Presidency, where the requirements that the candidate country North Macedonia must fulfil are clearly stated and their observance is carried out within the framework of the negotiation process. This issue is not bilateral, including the report in the European Parliament on Skopje's progress towards the EU, Zhelyazkov said.
