The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the European Olympic Committee (EOC) will work and contact only with the new leadership of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC), elected at the General Assembly on March 19. This was commented to the media by Vessela Lecheva, who visited Lausanne last week.

“Without my signature, and without a decision made by the Executive Bureau, they will no longer correspond with the current BOC composition. This is the decision I was informed about,” Lecheva added.

The IOC has proposed to Lecheva the creation of an alternative BOC office so that the newly elected President and Executive Bureau can have a place to carry out their activities. It has also been proposed that an alternative email address be created for Lecheva and the newly elected Executive Bureau so that official correspondence can be carried out.
"I refused to go that far, we decided to give a one-week deadline for the old management to provide us with the current email," said Lecheva.
