Over 200 settlements in 140 municipalities will have high-speed internet, announced Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Grozdan Karadjov. He signed 6 contracts for the construction of digital networks in the country in the presence of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and contractors from the three national telecommunications companies.

While in the capital and regional cities we enjoy fast internet, it is not like that everywhere. In small settlements and remote areas, they do not have such fast internet and people live differently, said Karadjov.

The signing of contracts with mobile operators will lead to an increase in coverage with a speed of over one gigabyte per second.

Thus, after August 2026, the digital divide will be overcome and people in small and remote settlements will live in the same way as in the rest of the country, promised Karadjov.
