“The military conflict between Israel and Iran is a threat to the security of the entire region,” said PM Rosen Zhelyazkov and expressed the hope that there will be no wider-scale clash. “Because that would mean a truly serious war in the Middle East. Against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine we are being held hostage by too many crises which I hope will be overcome,” the Bulgarian prime minister said.
At a joint press conference with Rosen Zhelyazkov within the frameworks of the 19th Europa-Forum Wachau, Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker called for the settlement of the conflict between Israel and Iran at a diplomatic level, BNR’s Marta Mladenova reports.
The Austrian chancellor congratulated Bulgaria on meeting all criteria for the adoption of the euro, and added that Bulgaria “is an extremely important partner for Austria in the fight against illegal migration”.
