A coordination center was established yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the situation in the Middle East. The Bulgarian government is receiving real-time information on everything that is happening and is in contact with the Bulgarians who want to return from Tehran and Israel, Premier Rosen Zhelyazkov told the media, the government press office reported.
He said that all possible options for the return of Bulgarian nationals are currently being explored, with their safety being the top priority. Premier Zhelyazkov added that there is coordination with Bulgaria’s diplomatic missions as well.''Our diplomats want to stay and work on the ground'', Rosen Zhelyazkov said.
Premier Zhelyazkov expressed concern about a potential escalation of the situation. ''The escalation of tensions and the emergence of hot conflicts, wars and hostilities is a cause for concern, since existing problems are not being solved, but new ones are being created'', said Premier Zhelyazkov and highlighted the importance of diplomacy.
