Bulgaria’s volleyball team defeats Germany at Volleyball Nations League tournament

Bulgaria scored a second victory in the Volleyball Nations League 2025 in Quebec, Canada, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports.

The Bulgarian national squad, with coach Gianlorenzo Blengini, defeated Germany in 3:2 games (25:22, 22:25, 25:19, 23:25, 15:12). This win comes after their convincing 3-0 victory vs. Argentina a day earlier.

The star of the match was Aleksandar Nikolov who scored 28 points. In their next match, the Bulgarian volleyballers will be playing against the host team – Canada. Their excellent performance at the tournament helped them climb 4 notches to 15th position in the world rank list.
