Hot weather expected on Thursday, with rain showers in the mountains and eastern parts

On Thursday, the minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will range from 16 to 20°C, in Sofia - 16°C. Before noon the weather will be sunny. In the afternoon, clouds will start gathering. In places, mainly in the mountainous and eastern regions, there will be rain showers. 

Daytime highs tomorrow will be between 31 and 36°C, in the capital - around 31°C.

In the mountains it will be mostly sunny. Around and after noon cumulus clouds will develop. In places there will be showers and thunder. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 m. will be around 25°, at 2000 meters - around 17°.

Along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast it will be sunny with temporary increases in cloudiness in the afternoon. The maximum air temperatures will be from 27 to 29°C. The sea water temperature is 23-24°C. 

On Friday, the wind from the northwest, in the eastern regions from the northeast, will temporarily strengthen and cooler air will penetrate with it. There will be sunny hours, but cumulus-rainy clouds will also develop. In places in Central, Eastern and Southern Bulgaria there will be short showers with thunderstorms. Hail is also possible. Temperatures will decrease.

In the Balkans on Thursday it will be mostly sunny and hot. After lunch there will be temporary increases in cloudiness. In places in the mountainous regions there will be showers and thunder.

In Athens highs will be 34°C, in Belgrade - 33°C, in Bucharest - 35°C, in Istanbul - up to 30°C.
