The 3rd FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships in Sofia were officially opened by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Assoc. Prof. Stoyan Andonov. More than 370 gymnasts from over 70 countries will compete for the top places in the Arena 8888 hall until 22 June.
"Sofia is once again becoming the capital of rhythmic gymnastics. I am confident that the organisers will ensure the competition runs smoothly, delighting the audience with exciting and inspiring performances. I congratulate all the competitors who have reached this world forum through hard work and dedication. I wish you success, inspiration, and an unforgettable experience in Sofia," said Andonov.
Competing for Bulgaria are the young talents Magdalena Valkova (hoop and ribbon), Alexa Rasheva (ball) and Anastasia Kaleva (clubs), who have won numerous awards throughout the season.
