Bulgaria is hosting the Best Warrior International Military Competition

The inaugural International Military Competition, 'Best Warrior', is set to take place on 25 and 26 June 2025 at the Vasil Levski National Military University in Veliko Tarnovo. The tournament is organised by the Ministry of Defence, the Defence Staff and others, and is held under the auspices of the Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Efimov.


Participating teams include those from the Joint Forces Command, the Army, the Air Force, the Navy, the Joint Special Operations Command, the National Military University, the Military Police Service, the Tennessee National Guard, the 5th Corps of the US Army in Europe, the NATO Multinational Battle Group led by Italy and deployed in Bulgaria, and a team from Slovenia.


The servicemen and women will compete in events such as rapid pistol shooting, knife throwing, grenade throwing at a target, and first aid and evacuation of the wounded.
