A Japan-Bulgaria business forum on the topic of "Infrastructure, Energy and Digitalization" was held in Sofia. "Bulgaria has a whole palette of advantages. However, they are little known in Japan. Our task is to provide much clearer information about what is happening and what Bulgaria offers as business opportunities," Susumu Kataoka, President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) said at the closing of the forum.
He added that he hoped the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Japanese organization and the Bulgarian Investments Agency, signed at the forum, would deepen economic ties between the two countries. Susumi Kataoka called on companies interested in investing to contact the representatives of the Bulgarian Investments Agency and JETRO for assistance.
The business meeting was held within the framework of the two-day visit that began yesterday in Sofia of the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Akiyoshi Katō and a delegation of about 50 representatives of Japanese companies and government agencies.
