Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov presented the national flag to the Olympiad teams in natural sciences for 2025. At the ceremony in the building of the Council of Ministers, it was pointed out that in 2024, the Bulgarian teams in natural sciences won 91 medals – 11 gold, 40 silver and 40 bronze.

That is how the cycle of competitions in the summer and autumn started. Bulgarian student teams in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, astrophysics, linguistics, geography, informatics and artificial intelligence are to defend their positions and win new awards around the world.

"Your ambition is not to win medals, your ambition is to have the knowledge that will win medals, medals in life, medals for the homeland, but most of all, medals for the society in which we live," the Prime Minister said at the ceremony.
