Twenty-two Bulgarian students who spent the last school year at high schools across the United States, from Texas to Vermont, have returned home. The exchange was organised by the YES Bulgaria programme.

Over the past few months, the teenagers not only studied, but also shared Bulgarian traditions such as banitsa, took part in American proms and won American football titles, according to the U.S. Embassy in Sofia's Facebook page. The Embassy adds that this exchange fosters lasting friendships and a stronger future for both countries.
