Jazz enthusiasts traditionally look forward to the A to JazZ International Festival at the start of July. This year, the event will take place from July 3 to 6, once again in Sofia’s South Park 2.

Over the years, A to JazZ has established itself as one of the most beloved and significant events in Sofia’s cultural life, attracting an audience of over 60,000 people. Its success lies not only in the festival’s impressive scale and high-quality programming but also in its mission: to popularize jazz and improvisational music among young people, to promote sustainable and responsible behavior, and to develop a modern festival culture in Bulgaria.

The 14th edition of the festival will feature 12 international bands from this year’s World Music Showcase selection, along with three festival evenings with world-class jazz artists.

Bulgarian performers also offer a diverse selection of high-quality music, created by musicians from different generations.

Alex Vitkov

Among them are young trumpeter Alex Vitkov, who recently debuted with his original album “Once Upon a Jazz”, and multi-genre virtuoso guitarist Angel Demirev. The highlight of the local scene is the legendary band Zone C, who have made a comeback with a new album titled “Quantum Integrity”—the result of a 25-year creative journey.
