The international naval exercise BREEZE 2025 has begun in the Black Sea

From July 7 to 20, the Bulgarian Navy is conducting the 29th edition of the national naval exercise BREEZE 2025 with international participation, the headquarters of the Bulgarian Navy announced. The exercise is taking place in the territorial sea and the exclusive economic zone of Bulgaria in pre-designated areas.

Naval vessels, aircraft, unmanned underwater vehicles, diving teams and staff officers from Bulgaria, Albania, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, the United States, Turkiye, France and the NATO Maritime Command will participate at the exercise. During the exercises, naval operations in response to crisis situations and the elimination of the consequences of major accidents and incidents will be practiced. The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) will take part in the exercise for yet another year. The exercise is being led by Rear Admiral Kiril Mihaylov, Commander of the Bulgarian Navy.
