Two Bulgarians reach the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Junior Championships

Alexander Vasilev has reached the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Junior Championships. Seeded No. 12, Vasilev defeated Keaton Hance (USA) 7–6(5), 6–4 in 1 hour and 37 minutes. This was his third consecutive win at the tournament without dropping a set. In the quarterfinals, Vasilev will face Thijs Boogaard (Netherlands).

Earlier today, another Bulgarian — 16-year-old Ivan Ivanov — also advanced to the  quarterfinals. He recorded his third straight-set victory in a row. The No. 6 seed Ivanov won 6–3, 6–2 against Jack Secord (USA). The match lasted only 63 minutes. For a spot in the semifinals, the Bulgarian will face the winner of the match between Nikita Bilozertsev (Ukraine) and Ziga Sesko (Slovenia).
