Warm with scattered rain on Wednesday

On Wednesday minimum temperatures will range from 18° C. to 22° C., for Sofia 18° C. During the day the weather will be predominantly sunny with temporary clouds. Cumulus clouds will develop after midday over the mountains in Eastern Bulgaria and there will be rain, in the region of Ludogorie the rainfall will be temporarily intensive. Conditions are at hand for hail. Maximum temperatures 30-35° C., for Sofia around 30° C.

Over the mountains there will be sun. After midday cumulus rain clouds will form, and there will be rain and thunder in some parts of Mount Rila, the Rhodopes and the Eastern portion of the Balkan Range. There will be a moderate wind from the North. Minimum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 23° C., at 2,000 m around 17° C.

Over the Black Sea coast there will be considerable clouds and, mostly over the Northern portion of the coastline, there will be rain and thunder. There will be a light to moderate wind from the East-Northeast. Maximum temperatures 29-31° C., temperature of the sea water 25-26° C., sea state 1-2.

On Thursday a Southerly wind will push up temperatures, and in the lowlands highs will reach 37-38° C. Later in the day a Northwesterly wind will usher in cooler air. Heavy rain clouds will develop in the evening and during the night. There will be brief showers, thunderstorms and hail.
