Weather forecast: Temperatures start to creep up over the weekend

On Saturday minimum temperatures will range between 10° C.  and 19° C., for Sofia 10° C.  During the day there will be sun with cumulus clouds after midday, and rain and thunder in some parts of the mountain regions of Southern Bulgaria. There will be a light, in the Danube Plain to moderate wind from the Northwest. Maximum temperatures 28-33° C., for Sofia around 29° C.

Over the mountains the weather will be predominantly sunny. Cumulus clouds will develop in the afternoon, in the regions of Mounts Rila and the Rhodopes the clouds will be cumulonimbus and there may be rain and thunder. The wind will continue moderate from the West-Northwest, to strong on higher ground. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 24° C., at 2,000 m. around 17° C.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be predominantly sunny with a temporary increase of clouds in the afternoon. There will be a light wind from the West-Northwest in the morning, in the afternoon – a light to moderate breeze from the Southeast. Maximum air temperature 28-31° C., temperature of the sea water 23-26° C., sea state 1-2.

On Sunday the rain will stop nationwide. Daytime highs will rise, reaching a maximum of 31-36° C.
