Burgas is being promoted as an accessible and appealing destination for Turkish tourists, marking a new step in efforts to attract more visitors from Bulgaria’s southern neighbor to the coastal city and its surroundings, the municipal administration announced.

Bulgaria is the only foreign destination featured in the summer edition of Milliyet, one of Turkey's most influential daily newspapers, which is distributed across all 81 provinces of the country. The publicity Burgas received was part of a targeted effort by the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism and the National Tourist Office in Istanbul to promote the Southern Black Sea coast as a popular holiday destination for Turkish tourists.

Aqua Calidae

The Burgas region is featured in the publication alongside two of its most popular attractions: St. Anastasia Island and the Aqua Calidae tourist complex. These sites offer a blend of history, nature and atmosphere that attracts both Bulgarian and international tourists all year round.
