Bulgaria's top tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, will not participate in the US Open, which starts on August 24. The news was announced by his manager Georgi Stoimenov for the website tenniskafe.com.
Due to the serious injury he suffered at Wimbledon - a partial tear of the pectoralis major muscle, Dimitrov will not be fully recovered to participate in New York. This ends his record streak among active tennis players of 58 consecutive participations.
