More than 400 musicians from Serbia, Hungary, Georgia, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Moldova and Bulgaria will participate in the 33rd edition of the International Folklore Festival Varna Summer, BTA reports. The event is held from July 30 to August 2 and is dedicated to friendship. The audience in the seaside city will be able to attend four concerts at the Summer Theater, which are free of charge.
The festival begins on July 30 in the evening, with a procession from Independence Square to the entrance to the Sea Garden, followed by a grand opening and performances by groups from Serbia, Hungary, Moldova, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Georgia and Bulgaria. The hosts from the Varna Folklore Ensemble at the "Hristo Botev" National Community Center will also perform on the first evening.
