An over 50% increase is expected of arrivals from Germany, the airport’s director Vasil Atanasov said. This increase could reach 70% compared to last year. “We welcomed our millionth passenger a week early. In 2024 this took place on 7 August,” he said and added that in 2025 Burgas airport is expecting a 4% increase in the number of passengers compared to 2024. This season, the biggest number of passengers come from Poland, the UK, Czechia, Germany and Israel, BNR’s Radio Burgas reports.
