122 years since the outbreak of the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie uprising

The 122nd anniversary of the outbreak of the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie uprising will be marked on 2 August in the locality Predela with a flower and wreath laying ritual at the monument Ilinden. Razlog municipality has announced that the ritual will be attended by the honorary consul of the third brigade command – Blagoevgrad. The celebrations will continue in Preobrazhenie square in Razlog in the evening with a concert by Trakia ensemble.

In 1903, on Ilinden (St. Elijah’s Day), an uprising broke out in Bitola, continued in the region of Edirne on Preobrazhenie (Transfiguration) and ended in the region of Razlog on Krastovden (Holy Cross Day).
