With each passing day, the church is becoming more beautiful and welcoming. This was written on their Facebook page by the Bulgarian Orthodox Church “St. Ivan Rilski” in Chicago, USA.

“Anyone who can help is welcome! There is painting, repairing, cleaning - any work according to their capabilities,” the church specifies, in which volunteer teams for cleaning and repair are organized.

The goal is for the church “St. Ivan Rilski” to restore its activities for the benefit of the Bulgarian community in Chicago as soon as possible, informs the newspaper of Bulgarians in the USA and Canada “Bulgaria Now”.

Those who wish to get involved can do so by helping with: participation in cleaning and tidying; assistance with painting and small construction works; maintenance of the garden, yard and landscaping around the church.

The teams will meet every weekend until the end of August. Renovation activities are scheduled for August 9 and 10, August 16 and 17, August 23 and 24, and August 30 and 31.
