Bulgaria to award winners of contests for diaspora youth

Bulgaria’s Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad (EABA) will hold an awards ceremony for the winners of three annual international competitions for children and young people from the Bulgarian diaspora.


The recipients of the Stefan Getchev literary prize, the ‘Bulgaria in My Dreams’ art competition and the Lyubka Rondova song contest will receive their awards at the event, which starts at 1:30 pm at the Palace of Children in Sofia.


Participants include young talents from Bulgarian communities in the United States, Germany, France, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Scotland, Moldova and other countries.


The winners will be presented with certificates and prizes. They will also be offered participation at a creative summer camp in Brodilovo in the Burgas region, in recognition of their achievements and contribution to preserving Bulgarian identity abroad. The awards will be presented by the agency's director, Rayna Mandzhukova.
