Not a Sound – DARA is back!

Photo: YouTube/DARA

A decade on from her explosive debut, DARA still radiates the raw charisma that first captured the nation’s attention. The Varna-born artist shot to prominence as a breakout star on a popular music television show and has since carved out an impressive career, defined by her undeniable stage presence, screen magnetism, and a catalogue of chart-topping hits.

Her latest single, “Nito Zvuk” (“Not a Sound”), made waves on Bulgarian stages even before its official release on 25 July across all digital platforms. The track is the product of a stellar creative team: DARA collaborated with Denis Popstoev, Preyah and Venci Venc on the lyrics, music and arrangement. The result is a track that blends lyrical depth with signature pop energy.

The accompanying video embraces a 1960s aesthetic, playfully skewering the myth of the 'perfect partner' with a tongue-in-cheek twist. As ever, DARA takes centre stage, with actor Philip Bukov stepping in as her on-screen counterpart.
