The Bulgarian government will create a centralized structure to manage the creation and implementation of a unified brand Bulgaria in order to raise the country’s international image. This is stated in the adopted legislative program of the Council of Ministers for 2025, reports segabg.com

The Ministry of Tourism must form the structure for the brand Bulgaria in early autumn in the form of a national fund, which will be called “Bulgaria Today and Tomorrow”. It will be managed by a supervisory board and an executive director, and will have regional and foreign offices. It is stated that the fund will “develop and implement a unified concept for presenting the country at the international level”.

The hope is that the unified unit will solve the problem of uncoordinated and often contradictory initiatives to present Bulgaria as a tourist destination by various institutions and private individuals. The body will be responsible for implementing a coordinated strategy and monitoring intellectual rights. In addition to the budget, it will rely on public-private partnerships, sponsorships, donations and EU funds.
