For the twenty-first day now, the fire in the Pirin Mountain continues to rage. There are thousands of fire outbreaks and they are being fanned by the wind. Two helicopters from the Air Force and two aircraft from European services have joined the firefighting efforts.

The front has been localized on the side of the Pirin National Park. According to the park's director, Rosen Banenski, the directions in which the wind is spreading the fire are in the direction of the Pirin National Park and in the direction of the State Forestry in Sandanski, where more forces and resources are concentrated. Many people are responding and directly contacting the forestry and local authorities and getting involved in extinguishing the fire

However, there are not enough well-prepared and trained volunteers on the ground.
