Two people were injured in fires over the past 24 hours

A total of 140 fires were extinguished across the country in the past 24 hours. Two people were injured, according to the Fire Safety and Civil Protection Directorate General. Firefighting teams responded to 185 incident reports.

A van driver was injured while attempting to extinguish a fire. The incident occurred at a former gas station near VMZ "Sopot", where a hexane installation had been set up. A fire broke out during the pouring of the liquid into containers loaded in the vehicle. The van, the hexane installation, and about 250 square meters of dry grass around the site were destroyed.

Another fire broke out in a car at a gas station on the E-79 main road in Sandanski. A 61-year-old man was injured in the incident and taken to a hospital for treatment.
