Security guarantees for Ukraine must include the sustainable support of both European and Euro-Atlantic partners. This was what Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov said at a video-conference meeting of the heads of state and government of the European Union countries, who discussed the results of the meeting in Washington on the war in Ukraine.

According to the Prime Minister, a full ceasefire in Ukraine must remain immediate priority. Rosen Zhelyazkov welcomed the efforts of Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, pointing out that achieving comprehensive peace in Ukraine is linked to full respect for international law and order.

Bulgaria, together with our EU partners and NATO allies, is ready to contribute to achieving a framework for a just and lasting peace, the Prime Minister also said.
