Bulgaria is hosting Euroclassica Annual Conference and General Assembly for the first time, reported BTA.

The international event, held at Sofia University ''St. Kliment Ohridski'', focuses on cooperation among European countries in the study and teaching of ancient languages, particularly Latin and Ancient Greek. During the forum, Bulgarian and European educators are giving lectures on classical languages, ancient heritage and classical education.

The conference program also includes a visit to Plovdiv, where international delegates will take part in a discussion with representatives of educational institutions and the local community on the connection between philological knowledge and the preservation of cultural heritage.

The event is organized by the Association for the Development of the University Classical Education, with the support of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and the Municipality of Plovdiv.
