From August 28 to 30, the 16th edition of Bansko Opera Fest will be held at the central Nikola Vaptsarov Square in the mountain resort town of Bansko. Three evenings under the open sky, an international guest and an ambitious selection of titles will offer the audience a variety of musical styles. The festival is held under the auspices of the Municipality of Bansko, BGNES has reported.
On August 28, "Aladdin" will be presented. August 29 is dedicated to "Rigoletto" by Giuseppe Verdi. On August 30, a Gala evening will be held with the participation of Italian tenor Ugo Tarquini - a soloist with international recognition and roles in a number of prestigious European productions. Venezuelan tenor Reynaldo Droz will also appear on stage.
We will also hear leading Bulgarian opera soloists - soprano Ilina Mihaylova, mezzo-soprano Mihaela Berova, tenor Artyom Arutyunov, baritone Plamen Dimitrov and bass Geo Chobanov. The conductor of the evening is Svetoslav Borisov. The audience will be able to enjoy some of the most beloved arias.
