There is a popular literary event where visitors – young and old alike – can become part of the literary life of the capital city Sofia, find different books and meet new authors: Book Alley, organized by the Bulgarian Book Association.
From 8 to 14 September, 2025, Vitosha Boulevard and the park in front of the National Palace of Culture will host the latest edition of Book Alley – the biggest open-air book fair in the country.
150 publishing houses will be taking part in the event this year, located in a total of 61 pavilions. The book fair will have a diverse programme including meetings with authors, children’s events, literary readings and film screenings.
The official opening will kick off with a “musical greeting” to the visitors at 10.30 AM on 8 September in the park in front of the National Palace of Culture. Book Alley is part of the cultural calendar of Sofia municipality.
