Bulgaria and the University of North Dakota to explore for rare earth metals in this country

The Bulgarian Energy Holding, together with the University of North Dakota, USA, will conduct research on rare earth metals in Bulgaria. This is stipulated in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between them within the framework of the visit of a Bulgarian delegation headed by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov to the USA for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. 

"Today's signing is extremely important for the development not only of the Bulgarian mining industry, but also for the technological progress of Bulgaria and the USA," Zhelyazkov said. He added that by the development of the scientific potential of the University of North Dakota, the country can unleash the opportunities that the Bulgarian land has, the government press service reported.
