"We women must turn innovation into our ally, not a new barrier to human rights. We cannot allow women to bear the hidden cost of digital progress and artificial intelligence,' said Vice President Iliana Yotova, who is currently attending the 'Global Leaders Meeting on Women' in Beijing. This announcement was made by the President's Press Office.

Ms Yotova went on to say that Bulgaria has made significant progress in integrating the principles of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security into national policy. She pointed out that women make up 50% of Bulgaria’s diplomatic service, with 40% in leadership positions, and noted that six women have served as foreign ministers since 1996.

The two-day forum, titled 'One Shared Future: New and Accelerated Process for Women's All-round Development', was opened by Chinese President Xi Jinping. Organised by UN Women and the Chinese government, it is attended by over 800 participants from around the world.
