Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 17 October 2025

Cloudy weather, rainfall expected in Bulgaria on Friday

On Friday, the minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will be from 6 to 11°C, in Sofia – 7°C.  During the day, it will be cloudy over most of the country. In the afternoon, rain will begin in Western Bulgaria, in the mountains above 2,000 meters - snow, and during the night on Saturday, precipitation will also cover the central regions of the country. 

Maximum temperatures will be from 13 to 18°C, in the capital Sofia - around 13°C.

It will gradually become cloudy along the Black Sea coast. In the morning hours, there will be fog or reduced visibility in some places. Maximum air temperatures will be between 16-19°C.

Cloudiness will increase in the mountains. In the afternoon, rain will begin in the massifs of Western Bulgaria, and snow above 2,000 meters. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be about 11°C, at 2,000 m - about 3°C.

On Saturday, the wind will shift from the southeast and daytime temperatures will increase slightly. Cloudiness will thicken from the west and precipitation will begin.

In the Balkans, in the southwestern part of the peninsula, it will be cloudy and with precipitation, along the Ionian coast - with thunderstorms. Significant precipitation is expected in southern Serbia, Albania and the western regions of North Macedonia. In the northern and eastern regions of the peninsula, the cloudiness will be broken and still without precipitation. It will be cool for October.

In Athens highs will be 23°C, in Bucharest 19°C, in Belgrade 15°C and in Istanbul -  up to 21°C.
