GDP grows by 3.4% in 2024

In 2024, the gross domestic product of Bulgaria increased in real terms by 3.4% compared to the previous year, according to data by the National Statistical Institute, BTA reported. Gross national income at market prices last year amounted to 100,2 billion euro, while a year earlier it was 90,08 billion euro. GDP reaches a nominal value of 104,77 billion euro and gross value added of 91,41 billion euro.

The services sector increases its relative share in the added value of the economy by 1.9% to 73.1 percent. The relative share of value added generated by activities in the industrial sector decreases to 24.2% from 25.9% in 2023. The relative share of the agricultural sector is 2.7%, which is a decline of 0.2% compared to 2023.
