Malena Zamfirova wins Virtual Snowboard Alpine World Cup

Snowboarder Malena Zamfirova, who recently won the award for best young athlete in Europe, has received yet another international recognition, BGNES reports.

With the votes of alpine snowboard fans from all over the world, the Bulgarian won the Virtual Snowboard Alpine World Cup on Instagram, while Ramona Hofmeister, winner of an Olympic medal and two more from world championships, came in second. In September, in the Bulgarian final of the men’s Virtual Snowboard Alpine World Cup, fans chose Radoslav Yankov to be first, and Tervel Zamfirov to be second.

This year, Malena Zamfirova won gold in the team parallel slalom and silver in both the parallel slalom and parallel giant slalom at the FIS Junior World Championships in Zakopane, Poland.
