For the first time, the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) is hosting the annual Public Broadcasters International conference. The conference brings together public media bosses and executives from 24 countries across five continents.
The theme for the conference is "Making the Case for Public Service Broadcasters". Discussions will focus on freedom of speech, independence, crises and the funding of public media, as well as current issues such as attracting young audiences and negotiations with labor unions.
Welcome words will be delivered by the Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev; PBI Secretary General David Jordan and the Director General of the Bulgarian National Radio, Milen Mitev.
