Bulgaria participated in the international exhibition titled “EU Poetry-Verses Across Borders”, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Doha announced on Facebook.
The event was organized by the Katara Public Diplomacy Center, the Delegation of European Union to the State of Qatar, and included participation from the embassies of Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Malta, Poland and Romania.
The exhibition promotes cultural dialogue, showcases the richness of European linguistic diversity, and focuses on the images of women and mothers, according to the announcement.
Bulgaria’s participation was made possible with the support of the State Institute for Culture under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and features the poem “Drawing” by poet Kerana Angelova. The work is presented in Bulgarian and translated into Arabic by poet, writer and translator Khairi Hamdan.
