Saturday will start off with lows between 6°C and 11°C, dropping to around 6°C in Sofia. Skies will brighten for a time over northern Bulgaria before turning cloudy again later, with rain moving in by evening and overnight.
Cloudy spells are also expected in the Rhodope Mountains and the southeast, while the rest of the country will enjoy more sunshine. Winds will be light to moderate from the west-southwest. Daytime highs will reach between 17°C and 21°C, around 17°C in Sofia.
Along the Black Sea coast, skies will be partly cloudy. Maximum air temperatures will range from 18°C to 20°C, while sea temperatures will range from 17°C to 19°C. Wave height will be around 1–2 on the Beaufort scale.
Cloud cover in the mountains will vary, becoming thicker over the western and central Balkan range and the Rhodopes. There is a possibility of isolated light showers, mainly on the higher peaks and in the Rhodope region. Winds will be moderate from the west-southwest, strengthening to strong westerly winds over the highest peaks of the Rila and Pirin ranges. Maximum temperatures will be around 12°C at 1,200 metres and 5°C at 2,000 metres.
