A celebration of children’s love of books and imagination will take place on 25 October in Los Angeles, organised by the Bulgarian School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, according to the school’s Facebook page. The Parade of Books and Fairy Tale Characters will begin at 12:00 local time in the Uruapan Room at Veterans Park.
The school has invited pupils, parents and friends to dress as their favourite literary characters and join a day filled with games, dancing, music and treats. Those who wish can also bring homemade goodies to add to the fun and make the event even more festive and cosy.
The Bulgarian School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” in Los Angeles teaches Bulgarian language and literature, along with the country’s history and geography, following the curriculum set by the Ministry of Education and Science. The school also prepares students for the Bulgarian bilingual certificate exam and provides classes in Bulgarian as a second language for children and adults, BTA reports.
