20 projects in 9 areas to be implemented by Bulgarian and Chinese universities

Bulgaria and China have agreed to further strengthen their cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation at a high level, as well as in academic exchange. This happened during the Eighteenth Session of the Commission for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the two countries, which took place in Sofia, the Ministry of Education announced.

The two delegations agreed to work together on 20 scientific projects in 9 priority areas - such as quantum technologies, astronomy and space research, polar research, artificial intelligence, materials and nanoscience, biology, theoretical physics, ecology and green energy.

Our cooperation strengthens the innovation capacity, supports economic development and increases the competitiveness of our two countries, said Academician Nikolay Vitanov.

The next meeting of the joint Bulgarian-Chinese Commission for Scientific and Technological Cooperation will be held in China in 2027.
