The ruling parties GERB-SDS, BSP-United Left and ITN signed an annex to their coalition agreement, specifying the rules for the rotation of the Speaker of Parliament. The new mechanism provides for each of the three political formations to nominate its candidate for Speaker of Parliament on a rotational basis, with each mandate lasting 10 months. First in this order are GERB-SDF, then ITN and BSP.
After this sequence is exhausted, the rotation will start again.

The remaining clauses of the Agreement on a Parliamentary Majority remain unchanged.

The annex entered into force today with the withdrawal of Natalia Kiselova from the BSP-United Left list and the election of Raya Nazaryan (GERB) as Speaker of the National Assembly.
